OUR STORY
Two Generations, One Table
Ellie Mae New York began in 1968, in a small apartment with a sewing machine by the window. Ellie was seventeen, and she made clothes for women twice her age — women who had lived something. Today the store is run by her granddaughter, but the two of them still sit down together every week over sketches, fabrics, and samples. Nothing goes into production until Ellie says it's right.

Made for Women, Not for Girls
We design for real women with real bodies, not for trends or twenty-year-old models. Every style is fitted on women between 45 and 70, so it falls where it should fall and stops where it should stop. Clothes that flatter naturally, without pulling, clinging, or asking you to change shape first.
Quality You Feel Immediately
We believe quality is something you notice the moment a garment settles on your shoulders. Considered fabrics — linen, wool, viscose, silk — comfortable fits, and timeless silhouettes are at the heart of everything we make. Pieces you can rely on, return to, and wear for years rather than seasons.
Made to Be Worn
Our clothes are made to fit into your life, not to sit in the back of the closet waiting for the right occasion. Easy to wear, easy to style, and right for an ordinary Tuesday as much as for the days that matter — without ever feeling overdone.
